Help & FAQ

General

What is Shuuraku.com?
Shuuraku gives marketing, HR, and engineering teams a set of embeddable tools and dashboards: QR codes, countdown timers, product banners, email signatures, and GitHub / GitLab / Jira metrics. Everything is generated server-side and embedded with a simple URL or HTML snippet, so anyone on your team can use it without writing code.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. For every tool we generate the image URL, copy-pasteable content, and an HTML snippet. Paste it into your CMS, email client, or document and you are done. Developers who want more control can use our REST API.
What counts as a "view"?
A view is a single render of one of your assets (a QR code image load, a countdown timer image load, a signature image load, a product banner image load). Your monthly view allowance depends on your plan and resets each month.

QR Codes

How do QR codes work?
We generate QR codes on demand from a stable URL, so you can print them, email them, or embed them on a page. Scanning the code takes the user to whatever destination you configured (URL, email, phone, etc.).
Can I add a logo in the middle?
Yes, on the Small plan and above you can upload a logo that is composited into the centre of the QR code.
Can the QR code change based on the time of day?
Yes. On the Mid plan and above you can attach scheduled links to a QR code — for example a breakfast menu in the morning, a lunch menu midday, and a dinner menu in the evening, all from the same printed code.
Can I update where a QR code points after I've printed it?
Yes, on the Enterprise plan. The destination of an existing QR code can be edited at any time without reprinting.

Countdown Timers

How do countdown timers work?
We generate an animated countdown image on the fly. Embed it in a website, blog, or email with a normal image tag — no JavaScript needed.
What is the format of the countdown timer?
The countdown shows days, hours, minutes, and seconds, animated for 30 seconds — long enough for a viewer to register the urgency and decide to take action.
Why do I have to pick a timezone?
We anchor the countdown to a specific date and timezone so every viewer everywhere in the world sees the same time remaining until 00:00:00:00.
Can I customize the look of the countdown timer?
Yes. You can customize the font, size, and colour of your countdown timer. All countdown timers are generated with a transparent background so they embed cleanly on any website, blog, or email.
Can I show a custom message after it expires?
Yes, on the Mid plan and above. Once the timer hits zero we display your custom expired message (e.g. "Sale is now live").
Can I edit a countdown timer after embedding it?
Yes, on the Enterprise plan. You can repoint a previously shared countdown to a new event without changing the embed.

Product Banners

What is a product banner?
A product banner is a generated image that shows a product photo together with a title, brand, price, and short description in a layout you choose. Embed it in emails or websites the same way you embed any image.
Can I update the product details later?
Yes. Update the title, price, description, or image at any time and every existing embed reflects the change automatically.

Email Signatures

How do signatures work?
You design a company signature once — logo, layout, message, social links — and your team pastes the generated content into their email client's signature settings. When you update the logo or message, every employee's signature updates with it.
What signature dimensions do you output?
Signatures are 600 pixels wide and between 70 and 100 pixels tall, and they remain responsive when the "Copy Content" option is used.
Can each employee have their own name and title?
Yes. On the Enterprise plan you can manage employees in a directory and give each one an employee identifier. The signature loads the right name and title automatically — and if a title changes, every email already sent picks up the new title the next time the signature renders.
Can I include social links?
Up to 15 social links are supported on the Mid plan and above, with custom display text.
Can I countdown to a date inside the signature message?
Yes. Insert a token like {2025-01-01} in the signature message or a social entry's display text and we render it as "X days" or "X days ago" automatically.

Engineering Metrics (GitHub, GitLab, Jira)

What do the metrics dashboards track?

GitHub & GitLab: commits, pull/merge requests, reviews, and contributor activity over time, filterable by repository/project, user, and interval.

Jira: sprint velocity, cycle time, lead time, and issue throughput, filterable by project, user, and date range.

How many developers can I track?
Each plan has a developer-seat limit for metrics: 1 on Free up to 100 on Enterprise. See the plan page for the full breakdown.
Does GitLab Metrics work with self-managed GitLab?
Yes. Connect to GitLab.com or your self-managed instance. If your commit author metadata doesn't match GitLab usernames yet, our author-mapping tool lets you reconcile commits to tracked developers.

Webhook Tester

What is the Webhook Tester?
It's a developer tool that gives you a unique inbox URL. Every HTTP request sent to that URL is captured — method, path, query string, headers, and body — so you can inspect exactly what a third-party service (a payment provider, Git host, CI system, etc.) is sending. The URL replies with a static response you configure, so it can also stand in as a fake endpoint while you build an integration.
Can I control the response it sends back?
Yes. You set the HTTP status code, the content type, the body, optional extra headers, and an optional delay (up to 10,000 ms). For example, return a 200 with {"status":"ok"} for the happy path, or a 500 to test how the caller handles failures and retries. A few headers (Content-Type, Content-Length, Transfer-Encoding, Connection) are reserved and set automatically.
How many requests are stored, and for how long?
It depends on your plan. Each tester retains from 50 captured requests on Free up to 5,000 on Enterprise, and captures are kept from 1 day up to 90 days before automatic cleanup. The oldest captures are dropped once you exceed your plan's capacity. You can create unlimited Webhook Testers on every plan.
Is there a limit on the size of a captured request body?
Yes. The stored body is capped per request — from 25 KB on Free up to 5,120 KB on Enterprise. Larger bodies are stored truncated and flagged as such in the request detail view.
Can I use the Webhook Tester from the API?
Yes. You can create a tester and list or fetch its captured requests programmatically. See the REST API reference for the /WebhookTester/Create and /WebhookTester/{ITEM_ID}/Requests endpoints.

API

Is there a REST API?
Yes. The full reference, including code samples in cURL, Go, PHP, Python, and Ruby, is at /API. You can create QR codes, countdowns, product banners, signatures, metrics items, and webhook testers, and read your items, payments, and plan.
How do I authenticate?
Every request must be made over HTTPS and include your account token. Your token is shown to you on the API page when you are logged in. Keep it secret — do not commit it to public source control or ship it in client-side code.
Are there rate limits?
Yes. The API returns standard HTTP status codes; a 429 Too Many Requests means you should slow your request rate.

Account & Security

Can I sign in with Google or Facebook?
Yes. From the login page you can authenticate with Google or Facebook in addition to email and password.
Do you support two-factor authentication?
Yes. From Password & Security you can enable 2FA using any authenticator app (Google Authenticator, 1Password, Authy, etc.). After you scan the QR code and confirm a code, 2FA will be required on every sign-in.
I forgot my password.
Use Forgot Password to receive a reset link by email.

Plans & Payments

How much does it cost?
We have four plans: Free ($0.00 USD), Small ($3.99 USD), Mid ($29.99 USD), and Enterprise ($49.99 USD) per month. The full feature comparison is on the plan page.
What happens when I hit my monthly view limit?
We email you when you are approaching and when you reach your limit. You can upgrade to a higher plan from the plan page at any time, and your new allowance applies immediately.
Can I change my plan?
Yes. You can move between Free, Small, Mid, and Enterprise at any time from the plan page.
Can I cancel?
Yes. Downgrade to Free at any time. Your paid features stay active until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Are payments secure?

Payments are securely processed by Stripe, a PCI Level 1 certified service provider — the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry.

Your card information is sent directly from your browser to Stripe and never touches our servers. Stripe gives us a token that we use only to confirm charges or update your subscription.

More detail is on our Security page.

Do you offer refunds?
No, we do not offer refunds. You can downgrade or cancel at any time and your paid features will remain active until the end of the period you have already paid for.
